I'm still waiting for the majority of members to advise which of the proposed dates, 20/8, 27/8 or 17/9, they are able to attend for our first public presentation, What do you want to know about voluntary assisted dying? There's only one presentation, not 3; I just need to know who can and can't come to each date....ie register or decline each event. At the moment, we have 5 members able to attend on 17 September so it's looking like the date we will select unless there's a influx or registrations for a different date.
Register or decline for each date please ASAP so we can make a decision and start planning...we need as many members there as possible. Or, is there not enough support to go ahead with the event?

What an inspirational speaker this week. Darren Reynolds is Head of Engagement for Every Daughter Matters, an organisation that has currently rescued and intercepted 3,6,76+ young women at border crossings between Nepal and India.
Back in 2006, Darren met an eight-year-old Cambodian girl who had been rescued from abuse and exploitation. His own daughter was eight years old at the time and the personal impact led him to leave an eighteen-year career in audio production to pursue justice and freedom for the most vulnerable on our planet. This passion has led Darren to join the awesome team at EDM to actively interrupt the trafficking of young women and children in Nepal and prevent them falling into the hands of those who would harm them.
Every Daughter's mission is to intercept vulnerable Nepali girls at risk of human trafficking and stop the abuse before it begins.
The 1,758 kilometre border has always been known as one of the busiest human trafficking gateways in the world. Nepalese victims are plunged into the world of human trafficking in different ways. Many hope to find jobs as domestic workers in India or Gulf countries but end up being trafficked and raped in brothels abroad. Others find themselves working in sweat shops or on construction sites in bonded labour. Sadly, many are tricked into servitude or prostitution with false promises of a love-marriage. Many others fall prey to one of the most horrific forms of trafficking – organ harvesting.

The RC of Mill Point is arranging a tree planting event in Champion Lakes for Treemission on 19th July. If you are interested in volunteering, register on the RCWE website by 6th July and I will advise Mill Point of our numbers.
They only need 30 volunteers due to the number of trees to be planted. David and I helped out last year and enjoyed the event.
