Best wishes to all our members and friends for a safe and happy festive season. The newsletter is taking a short break with the next issue published on 11 January, just before our first meeting for 2026. Please note we have a new venue this year.
Our first speedway collection is 26 December and Peter is still looking for a few more volunteers. Currently, 8 people are registered - we need between 11 and 13. This is a great fundraiser for the club, and the speedway crowd are always generous.
Keep checking the roster to make sure you organise something with Jin the week you are allocated as student host. If the allocated date doesn't work for you, make sure you swap with another member. We want Jin to experience as much as she can while she's in Perth.
See you either at speedway on 26 December or on 13 January at the Sunset Picnic area.

I was sailing the high seas when Jin gave her presentation to the club so missed hearing what she had to say. Thanks, Marcus, for providing the photos as they give an idea of what Jin talked about. Jin is coming to my family's Christmas celebration at Matilda Bay on Wednesday so I hope she likes the food we have on offer as it's bit different from what she has on her food slide.
Members, please check your meeting responsibilities as I haven't received a write-up for either the 9th or 16th December meetings. I'm happy for you to forward your article and photos to me and I will add them to the bulletin.

After the discussion at the club's AGM, have a read of another article from the September/October edition of Rotary Down Under. The RC of Scarborough has turned vision into action achieving outstanding membership growth. I'm hoping to have Darren come and talk to members before our club forum early next year.
