David, Harry, Jane and Judy spent 2 hours weeding at our Lake Claremont Adopt-A-Spot on Thursday week. Buddy was front and centre supervising. It was a perfect morning to enjoy some time in the outdoors, and we've just about cleared the weeds for this season.
On Tuesday, we'll run through the events planned for the 2026-27 Rotary year, decide which topic for our public event, and agree on who will be lead for each event. To make things more efficient on the day, have a look at the document here and add your name to either lead or be part of the organising team.
A reminder that I have made the Liquid Gold Polio Dinner on 23 October in lieu of our meeting for the week of 20 October. Jane and I are registered on table 3 so it you want to sit with us, choose table 3. The flyer appears below in the newsletter or you can book here. It would be good to have a good showing of members and partners as this is an event organised by our Rotary Community Group to raise funds for End Polio Now.

At our last meeting, David mentioned the thank you we received from Kevin Prendegast, our contact for the parking at the V8 Supercars. Here it is:

“I would like to highlight the Rotary volunteers again for their exceptional help; every one of them was fully engaged and willing to assist wherever possible.”
It is planned that Supercars will return to Wanneroo around the same time in 2027 before the event moves to the Burswood Street Circuit. So I hope we are able to again have you and the Endeavor Rotary Team onsite for the last Wanneroo event.
