There was a great vibe in the room at our breakfast last week. Everyone was keen to contribute to the budget and planning document for the 2026-27 Rotary year. Thank you everyone for your participation. We'll talk more in the coming weeks about definite dates for events such as Foodbank Collection a Floreat Forum, Foodbank packing and our quiz night.
As reported at the meeting, the board agree that the club will support Hannah for her second year at the University of Embu by paying the balance of her tuition fees (she receives a part scholarship), accommodation fees and buying her a laptop, a total of AUD$1200.
Jane, Peter, Barney and I enjoyed lunch at Bayside Kitchen on Wednesday. As you can see from the photo, it was a perfect day for lunch by the river.
Jane and I are off to Melbourne, returning on 26 August so won't see you for breakfast at the Little Pantry on 25th August. Enjoy yourselves and we'll see you on 1st September when Tony will tell us about his and Gaby's trip on The Ghan.
