Thanks to the 8 members who have completed the member survey so far. For those who haven't, please complete the survey here as soon as possble. I'd like to discuss the results at a meeting as soon as Jane I return from the RI Convention in Taiwan. If you'd like to see the results so far, you can check them here.
Jin is keen to visit Busselton and Bunbury so if anyone has a weekend or a couple of days they could take her, it would be appreciated. Her time with us is running out....she thinks her leaving date is 13 July. Jin is on school holidays from 4 July so you aren't limited to weekends.

JIN UPDATE
Jin, Jane and I travelled to Esperance on Tuesday by bus, returning on Friday.
The trip down and back was interesting, travelling through a number of wheatbelt towns.
We spent Wednesday and Thursday travelling west and then east of Esperance, visiting many of the bays and sights along the way. Wednesday was pretty blustery so not such a great day out however we still enjoyed our day including a visit to the Esperance Rotary shed where a number of their members were working on their bicycle project. It works similarly to Dismantle with involvement with disadvantaged youth. The club has a great set-up for storage of their fish van, drinks, van, a workshop plus a meeting room.
Thursday was much better with sun and clouds, so the beautiful blue of the Esperance waters shone through. We visited Lucky Bay but weren't lucky enough to see a kangaroo on the beach. I think they would be tucked up in a nice warm spot.
We had dinner with a number of members of the local club on Thursday night before a good sleep in preparation for the trip home.
A big thank you to Marcus for financing this trip for Jin, and to Pres Kelly Starcevich for her hospitality and Stephen Schmedje who acted as our tour guide. Stephen has great local knowledge and has been contracted by the cruise companies to provide commentaries on tours around the area.

ReWilding unites Steve's passion for biodiversity, practical experience in habitat restoration, and commitment to empowering everyday people to take meaningful environmental action in their own gardens and communities.
This presentation will introduce what defines a banksia woodland, where these communities occur today, and why their distribution has changed over time. It will explore the key threats facing banksia woodlands, including urban development, fragmentation, altered fire regimes, and invasive species. Attendees will then gain practical insights into how everyday gardening choices like plant selection, water use, and habitat creation can contribute to the protection and recovery of banksia woodlands across the Perth region.
Every participant will receive a local native seedling to take home.
