Jin did a great job of presenting to the club at our meeting on Tuesday. She told us about the highlights, the things she learned in Australia and how much she's grown in the time she has been with us.
I think one of her main messages was she loves Australia and is keen to return to complete her studies. She was very nervous about giving her presentation, but she did a great job. Harry topped her morning off by giving her a ride to school in his convertible.
Jin is returning to Taiwan on Monday 13 July so if you have time, touch base with her to see if there's anything else she'd like to do before she departs for Taiwan.
Remember, we are meeting at Balga on Tuesday morning at 7:30 and then the changeover on Friday night. See you at the Cottesloe Golf Club at 6:00pm on Friday. No meeting on 7 July.

JIN UPDATE
Yesterday, Jane and I attended the farewell event for this year's inbound exchange students.
The students gave a variety of presentations telling us about the highs and lows of their exchange. I think the highlight for the majority of them was the northwest safari. Experiencing the Australia outback and our beautiful scenery and dealing with the challenges of camping, not showering every day and the flies paled into insignificance compared to swimming with the whale sharks, the beauty of amazing scenery and sunsets, and the opportunity to deepen their friendships was a once in a lifetime experience.
The students were also awarded the certificate of completion for their year's exchange by DG Veronica.

Pollinator Garden for SubiStrand – Your Assistance Needed
As part of the learning process for our Pocket Forest project, members are invited to assist with the preparation and planting of the pollinator garden for SubiStrand. It will give us some experience for when we have a pocket forest site ready to go.
